(N)Torenesset is a small Maine Coon breed located by the Trondheimsfjord about 90 km southwest of Trondheim city in Norway.
Me and my husband Tore lives on a farm, but the barn is empty and the only animals we have is our cats.
We also have 5 children visiting us as often as possible along with our grandchildren.
I got my Prefix in 1991 and bought my first breeder, a Norwegian Forestcat the same year.
After 3 Norwegian Forestcats I got my first Maine Coon in 1994.
Like other things in life it was random occasions that led to the love of this tremendous breed.
Two members in the same cat club as my self bought each an example of a Maine Coon in Sweden.
One male and one female... this led to babies!!!
It was by accident we met at a club meeting where two of this babies where presented.
My heart was sold and after some back and forward discussions at home we decided to adopt the silver torbie female.
So then me had our first Maine Coon Sally Candy. Sally came from the first litter of Maine Coons in Norway.
I did not have to much knowledge about this breed then of course, but the more I red and studied the breed - the more fascinated I became.
The Maine Coon is an awesome breed, and the fact that it is THE PERFECT cat for me I do not have a second of doubt about.
Like mentioned before my intention is not to become a breeder in great scale.
My intention is breeding lovely Maine Coons according to the standard with great health and temperament.
Our cats are our best friends and are treated so. They run wherever they want in our house, taking part in whatever we are doing and they love to sleep in our bed.
Whenever the weather allows it they are in outside facilities.
